Self Serving Stuff...
5 or so inches of Snow is expected in the area for late tonight and tomorrow....maybe I'll get some winter snow blowing scenes....in the meantime, I did some self portrait photography earlier this week: First Photo is me, with a hand rolled cigar and a good glass of stout, digging out the driveway~the rest checking out my old Childhood Summer stomping ground at Windy Point Park earlier this week, on Grand Lake St. Marys, near Montezuma.

Winter Sets in Western Ohio
Here we are over a week away from the official start of Winter, and yet we have had a solid 3 weeks, since before Thanksgiving Day of well below cold temperatures, with a bit of ice and snow mixed in....and the back yard Yellow Finches of Summer have been replaced by the Annual Visit of our resident Hawk, who arrives just about everyday to see if he{she?} can grab onto a marauding unlucky Sparrow....the Sunflowers are long gone, but their seeds remain in my garage, for next springs plantings....

Snow Daze
Our second West Central Ohio snow fell overnight....once again, not much to show for it....however it will usher in a spell of bitter, early season, cold over the next week or so....shot photos out of my upstairs bedroom window: The second another from the Sunset at Windy Point on Grand Lake's southside this past weekend:

One More From Windy Point...
Sunday, December 1, 2013
Windy Point, south side, Grand Lake, Montezuma, Ohio
I lived in Montezuma, Ohio, on the south side of Grand Lake from 1963 until I entered the Air Force in the Summer of 1968....being a "Lake Rat" was a good life, once I got a job and my driver's license, and a 1962 Ford Falcon...a brief, but meaningful time of my teen years. Windy Point, just across the small town from our place near the Lakeview Airport was a beach/state park area where I spent many hours doing what 16, 17, and 18 year olds do....wife and I drove out there this afternoon in the late fall/early winter-like weather, and I snapped some photos of the setting sun, along the ice covered shore line:

Another Dreary Day on Brandon Avenue....AKA Obama Care in Action?
Wife came home for lunch, something now that she is retired from St Henry Schools, and working part time(29 hours per week) at Celina's West Elementary, just 3 blocks from the house...she tells me that there is a dead opossum in the street on Brandon Avenue. I reply "Big Deal, those suckers are everywhere" Without thinking much about it, I walked out in the backyard to drop something in the compost pile...my neighbor Adrian, yells at me through the wooden fence that surrounds my place..."Hey Pat, there is a dead possum in the street:..."Yep", I reply, "Patricia told me"..."But yea," he replies, "This one has a ballon tied to it's tail"....."Well Hell", I think, "I need to get a photo of this"
Somebody in my neighborhood has a twisted sense of humor, but funny....I wonder if this guy died waiting on Obama Care....after all the Kenyan Idiot and those in charge are signing up dogs, why not this guy?

First Snow of the Season....
Wasn't much, but arriving after dark last evening, the quick moving "storm" dropped an inch or two, and left things looking pretty pristine in my back yard this morning as I headed out to ration out the feed for the backyard birds and Squirrels:

Berry, Berry, Good....
Spent the Weekend in Wisconsin, eating a lot, drinking a bit, gaining a couple of the lost 10 pounds back...was 191 when I left Friday AM, back up to 194.2 this morning. Patrica, Anissa, stopped and had a second Sunday Breakfast{albeit at Noontime} with oldest son Sam and a friend at Egg Harbor, near Bensenville, Illinois, on our way back.....here is my Berry loaded Oatmeal::

Rained Overnight in West Central Ohio....but even with the wind and rain, the leaves, this fall, have been hanging around much longer than previous years. I snapped a few shots this morning, the best of those between Celina and Coldwater, along the Celina/Coldwater Bike Path:

Just Messing Around

Welcome to the New Hoot Gibson Photography Blog
With four blogs on my "list" and currently only one active and another used for family historical purposes....I have decided to dump the one concerning my health{back and Diabetes 2} issues...because frankly, approaching 65{next March}, I have not felt better since I was in my mid 30s....the mid 1980s to be exact. So I'm switching this Blog over to my unofficial Alter-Ego Photography Blog....and away we go! Stay Tuned!
